Our Background: Liberal America and the Fight for a Voice

In 2012, Tiffany Willis Clark founded Liberal America, a blog where liberals from around the world could share their thoughts and opinions on current events, philosophy, and issues facing the world.

The blog quickly grew to into a major force in the liberal blogosphere with nearly one million Facebook fans and thousands of Twitter and Instagram followers.

Unfortunately, shortly after the 2016 election, Facebook yielded to political pressure and unjustly banned Liberal America as well as other reputable progressive Facebook pages.

The silencing of Liberal America and the election of Donald Trump signaled a dangerous new direction for America.

Liberal America's Next Chapter: Liberal America 2.0 and Liberal Definition

Fed up with observing the increasingly belligerent, ignorant, and shameless behavior of the Republican party, Joe and Tiffany Clark and their team founded Liberal Definition.

For years, conservatives dictated what it meant to be a liberal, and over time they've come to attack the very foundations of reality with their so-called "alternate truths."

Liberal Definition is a statement which says that we are taking back our name, our true values, and what it means to be a liberal. We will no longer be defined by those who promote the selfish dogma of the corporate capitalist elites who own Washington.

Liberal Definition is about defining the future on our terms, without apologizing for giving a damn about our fellow human beings and our planet.

In 2020, we will have an opportunity to restore hope, dignity, and sanity in Washington, and shape the direction of America for generations.
